The Champagne cellar corridor along and around rue du Champ de Mars appeals to wine-focused travelers. Several Champagne houses offer cellar tours within walking range of hotels here, saving on transit time between tastings.

Getting Around

Reims is compact enough that a hotel in any of these three areas places most sights under 20 minutes on foot. The city operates a tram network (two lines, open since 2011) linking the TGV station, the cathedral, and the university campus. Taxis and ride-hail cover the outer Champagne house estates (Veuve Clicquot, Mumm) in under 10 minutes.
