Most visitors stay two to three nights. Milan Malpensa airport is roughly 60 km away; the Milan–Como rail link takes 40 minutes from Milano Centrale.

Getting Around

The Como–Brunate funicular, operational since 1894, climbs 720 metres in seven minutes for views across the lake. Ferry services run by Navigazione Lago di Como connect Como to Bellagio (50 minutes) and Varenna (90 minutes). The city centre is compact enough to cover on foot; taxis serve transfers to Cernobbio.
