Converted into self-contained apartment units within the Asuka Heights building, Nikko Kinugawa Stay occupies a residential block above the Kinugawa Onsen valley, placing guests a short walk from the river gorge and the area's thermal bath establishments.

Each unit runs as a full household: kitchen with microwave, toaster, and refrigerator, plus a washing machine and kitchenware for longer stays. Private bathrooms include a bathtub, and flat-screen TVs with air conditioning cover the basics. On-site parking removes the friction of exploring Nikko's wider cedar-lined roads by car.

Kinugawa Onsen sits roughly 30 minutes west of Nikko's main shrines by train, making this a quieter base for visitors splitting time between the Toshogu precinct and the gorge's outdoor rotenburo baths. Check-in opens at 16:00.
