Karakol Yurt Village

Sixteen traditional yurts arranged along Masaliev Street in Karakol, the Yurt Village places guests within walking distance of the Sunday animal market — one of Central Asia's largest livestock bazaars, drawing herders from across the Tian Shan foothills each week.

Each yurt follows authentic felt-and-lattice construction with koshma rugs underfoot and a central tunduk skylight. Communal meals are served from a single open kitchen, with Kyrgyz staples such as beshbarmak and chai prepared for shared evening sittings.

Karakol anchors the eastern end of Lake Issyk-Kul, 370km from Bishkek. Trailheads into the Karakol Valley and Altyn Arashan hot springs lie under 12km south — the property can arrange horse or vehicle transfers for early morning departures.
