Hotels in Gueliz, Marrakech

Gueliz is the modern commercial center of Marrakech. Built during the French Protectorate in the 1920s, it sits directly west of the historic medina. The district is centered around Place du 16 Novembre and the broad Avenue Mohammed V, lined with banks, international brands, and government buildings.

This area offers a distinct contrast to the old city with its wide streets, Art Deco architecture, and contemporary cafes. It is home to the main train station, Gare de Marrakech, and the Cyber Parc Arsat Moulay Abdeslam. The Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum are located just to the north, near the edge of the district.
