Eight rooms in a restored coral-stone merchant house on Tharia Street, Nyumbani Stonetown sits deep in Stone Town's oldest residential quarter, two blocks from the Darajani Market and a ten-minute walk from the ferry terminal serving Dar es Salaam.

The building keeps its carved Zanzibari hardwood doors and central courtyard intact — features typical of 19th-century Omani trading families who built along this lane. Rooms vary in size and ceiling height depending on their original function within the house.
