Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, Waikiki Beach

Two modern towers flank the 1901 Banyan Wing at Moana Surfrider, Waikiki's oldest hotel, where the original colonial veranda still faces the beach at 2365 Kalakaua Avenue. The landmark banyan tree planted in the courtyard in 1904 anchors afternoon tea service, a tradition running more than a century.

Rooms in the historic Banyan Wing carry higher ceilings and period trim; the Diamond Head and Surfrider towers offer larger bathrooms and closer ocean sightlines. Spa Moana occupies the lower level, with treatments drawing on Hawaiian lomilomi technique.

Diamond Head crater is visible from upper-floor lanais, and the Duke Kahanamoku statue stands a four-minute walk west along the beachfront path. Royal Hawaiian Center shopping sits directly across Kalakaua Avenue.
