Slotted into a 1927 Renaissance Revival tower on South Grand Avenue, the Hilton Checkers occupies the Financial District's eastern edge, four blocks from the Broadway theater corridor and a ten-minute walk to Pershing Square's Metro Red Line stop — a practical base for business travelers and downtown conference visitors avoiding freeway congestion.

A rooftop pool and hot tub sit on the eighth floor, one of downtown's few outdoor pool decks. The original terrazzo lobby floor survives beneath a later renovation.
