California Building

Carved from a mid-century office block on Tulane Avenue, the California Building sits at the edge of Mid-City, a ten-minute walk from the Superdome and Union Passenger Terminal. Its three-star rooms suit business travelers and Amtrak arrivals wanting a functional base without French Quarter crowds or pricing.

Corridors still show the building's original transom windows and terrazzo floors, a rare survivor among the avenue's newer chain builds. Streetcar access on Canal is six blocks south, linking guests directly to the Quarter and Garden District without a car.
