About Oriente Station

Oriente Station es uno de los grandes nudos ferroviarios y de transporte de Lisboa, situado en el barrio de Parque das Nações. Proyectada por el arquitecto español Santiago Calatrava, inauguró sus puertas en 1998 con motivo de la Exposición Mundial. La estación da servicio a trenes de largo recorrido, regionales y de cercanías, así como al Metro de Lisboa y a numerosas líneas de autobús. Su estructura abierta y de marcado carácter contemporáneo destaca por una cubierta de vidrio y acero sostenida por una sucesión de arcos. El conjunto conecta directamente con el centro comercial Vasco da Gama y constituye la principal puerta de entrada a la moderna zona ribereña de la ciudad.
