The Search House

Perched in Barra da Lagoa, one of Florianópolis's most sheltered Atlantic-facing neighbourhoods, The Search House sits steps from the lagoon channel that connects the inland lagoa to open sea — a natural base for surfers and divers who want beach access without the noise of Joaquina or Ingleses.

Barra da Lagoa's main strip runs less than 200 metres away, with open-air fish restaurants and board-rental shops lining the waterfront. The neighbourhood retains a working fishing-village character rarely found this close to the island's surf circuit.

Guests reach central Florianópolis in roughly 40 minutes by bus along SC-406, while Lagoa da Conceição — the island's social and dining hub — sits about 15 minutes by car.
