Hotel Villa Bahia

Twenty colonial rooms occupy two restored 17th-century mansions on Largo do Cruzeiro de São Francisco, at the heart of Salvador's Pelourinho UNESCO district. The two buildings share an outdoor pool, a solarium terrace, and a garden courtyard — rare open-air space on a cobblestoned square where most facades press directly to the street.

The property runs walking tours and local culture classes departing from the lobby, a practical edge over hotels outside the historic core. Temporary art galleries rotate through the ground-floor corridor, drawing neighborhood visitors as well as guests.

The Cruzeiro de São Francisco church and the Afro-Brazilian Museum both stand within fifty metres. The Lacerda Elevator, linking the upper and lower city, is a ten-minute walk downhill.
