Amazona Lodge

Stretched along the forest edge at Kilometre 11.3 on the Tarapacá road south of Leticia, Amazona Lodge sits at the gateway to Colombia's Amazon basin, where the nearest town is a short mototaxi ride and the surrounding canopy belongs to the Tikuna communities.

The lodge's position outside Leticia proper means night noise is frogs and howler monkeys rather than traffic. Guided walks into the adjacent forest can be arranged through local Indigenous guides, offering a level of access that larger river cruise operations rarely provide.

Leticia's small airport connects to Bogotá daily; no road links Colombia's Amazonian capital to the rest of the country, making the river and sky the only routes in.
