Golden Well

Beyond the tourist press of Malá Strana's main lanes, Golden Well occupies a Renaissance townhouse cut into the castle hill on U Zlaté Studně, a stepped alley few visitors find without a map. The address sits roughly 200 metres below Prague Castle's south gate.

The rooftop terrace restaurant is the hotel's defining feature — open-air tables face directly across the Baroque roofscape toward the Old Town bridge towers, a sightline unavailable from street level or any nearby property. Fifteen rooms and suites are fitted with exposed timber ceilings and stone detailing original to the 16th-century structure.

The Malá Strana tram stop on Valdštejnské náměstí is a four-minute walk; the castle steps are three minutes uphill.
