Sixteen steps above the Catholic quarter of Ano Syros, Lithos occupies a detached stone house on the medieval hilltop that predates the more-visited Ermoupoli below by several centuries. Upper floors are stairs-only, as the alleyways here were built for donkeys, not lifts.
