About Paleokastritsa
Paleokastritsa is a district on the northwest coast of Corfu, known for its series of scenic coves and clear blue waters. The area's landscape is dominated by rocky headlands, olive groves, and the 13th-century Paleokastritsa Monastery. Its coastline includes six main bays—Agia Triada, Ambelaki, Alipa, Platakia, Agios Spyridon, and Agios Petros—each with pebble beaches and access to the Ionian Sea.
This is a destination for swimming, snorkeling, and boat trips to nearby sea caves. The Monastery of Paleokastritsa, founded in 1225, sits on a high peninsula with panoramic views. The area is about 25 kilometers from Corfu Town, connected by a winding coastal road.
