Mandraki Beach Resort

The only beachfront resort on car-free Hydra, Mandraki occupies the island's eastern cove at Mandraki Bay, roughly 25 minutes by water taxi from the main harbour's clock tower. No vehicles reach the property — luggage arrives by donkey or boat, which sets the tone immediately.

Adults-only throughout, the resort pairs a private pebble beach with loungers and umbrellas against the Saronic Gulf. Rooms feature tile and marble floors, minibars, and in-room breakfast delivery; soundproofing blocks the occasional ferry echo. Yoga classes run on the terrace, and walking tours cover the mule-path network linking Hydra's hillside monasteries.

Hydra's harbour town offers no motor traffic whatsoever, making Mandraki one of the few five-star addresses in Greece where silence is structural rather than promised.
