L'Arcobaleno

An agriturismo-style retreat at Regione Guardia Grande, L'Arcobaleno occupies the limestone plateau above Alghero's medieval coral-stone old town, with sightlines stretching toward the Capo Caccia headland and the Riviera del Corallo coastline.

The rural setting places guests ten minutes by car from the centro storico's Aragonese cathedral and the harbour fish market. Rooms are simply furnished with tiled floors and private terraces facing the Sardinian macchia scrubland.

Breakfast draws on local produce — honey, sheep's ricotta, and seadas pastries — served outdoors when weather allows. Alghero's Fertilia airport lies roughly four kilometres east, making early arrivals straightforward without routing through the city centre.
