Tensui Saryo

Across the forested slopes of Gora, one of Hakone's higher-altitude districts, Tensui Saryo operates as a traditional ryokan where the onsen circuit anchors each stay — private open-air baths, a public hot spring, foot baths, and a sauna form a layered bathing progression fed by natural thermal water.

Rooms follow ryokan convention with slippers and yukata provided; the kitchen sends kids' meals on request, and a bar handles evening drinks without guests leaving the property. The spa menu covers full-body, neck, head, foot, and back massage alongside facial and body treatments.

Gora station, on the Hakone Tozan rack railway, connects directly to Odawara and onward to Tokyo in under ninety minutes. The Hakone Open-Air Museum is one stop downhill.
