Seikoro Ryokan - Established in 1831

Inside Higashiyama-ku's quiet merchant quarter, Seikoro Ryokan has operated from the same Nishitachibana address since 1831 — one of Kyoto's longest-running traditional inns, placing guests a short walk from Fushimi Inari and the preserved machiya lanes of Gion.

Rooms follow classical ryokan form: tatami floors, futon bedding, and garden-facing views maintained by daily housekeeping. Breakfast draws on kaiseki-influenced morning traditions rather than a Western buffet, and free parking makes the property practical for guests arriving by car from Osaka or Nara.
