Rock and Sea Resort

Five kilometres of protected reef frame the beachfront at Rock and Sea Resort, a Watamu property sitting directly on one of Kenya's most biodiverse coastlines. Diving, snorkelling, and canoeing depart from the private beach, where loungers and umbrellas line the sand under the shade of mature palms.

The spa roster is unusually broad for a resort this size — full-body massages, body wraps, facials, manicures, and couples' treatments are all offered in-house, alongside yoga classes and a fitness centre with a personal trainer. An indoor pool, hot tub, and solarium round out the wellness side.

Watamu Marine National Park borders the resort's reef, giving snorkellers direct access to protected coral heads without a boat transfer. Game drives into Arabuko-Sokoke Forest, Kenya's largest coastal forest, can be arranged through the tour desk.
