Essaouira Lodge

Twenty rooms sit inside a rammed-earth kasbah-style compound at Douar Lamssassa, ten minutes by car from Essaouira's ramparts and fishing port. The setting is rural coastline rather than medina alley, suited to travellers wanting quiet and open sky over walking-distance sightseeing.

A central courtyard pool anchors the property, framed by argan and eucalyptus planted when the lodge was built. Terrace rooms face open scrubland toward the Atlantic rather than a shared wall.

Staff arrange horseback or quad transfers to Essaouira's beach breaks and the Sidi Kaouki surf spot further south.
