Palais Riad Lamrani

Across the northern medina from Jemaa el-Fna, Palais Riad Lamrani occupies a restored 19th-century merchant house on Rue Sidi El Yamani, its carved cedar doors and zellige courtyard shielding guests from the surrounding souk noise. A ten-minute walk covers most of the tanneries district.

Rooms open onto the central courtyard rather than a corridor, so windows face inward toward the fountain and orange trees. Breakfast is served on the rooftop, with the Koutoubia minaret visible above the medina rooftops. A designated porter meets guests at the nearest car access point, since vehicles cannot reach the door directly.
