Riad Sheba

Within the Rmlia derb of Marrakech's medina, Riad Sheba occupies a traditional courtyard house on Derb Raouia, a narrow lane a few turns off the Rahba Kedima spice square. Cars can't reach the door; staff meet guests at the nearest passable point to walk them in.

Rooms open onto the central patio, where a plunge pool and citrus trees sit below a rooftop terrace used for breakfast and evening tea. The Jemaa el-Fna square and its food stalls are a ten-minute walk through the souks, making this a base for travellers wanting the old city on foot rather than by taxi.
