Lined with hand-cut zellige tile from courtyard floor to rooftop parapet, Riad Talal occupies a restored merchant house on Derb Sekkaya, deep in the Medina's tangle of alleys northeast of Jemaa el-Fnaa, a ten-minute walk through covered souks — best suited to travellers comfortable navigating on foot rather than by car.

Rooms open onto a central courtyard shaded by a mature orange tree; the rooftop terrace catches Koutoubia minaret views at sunset. Breakfast is taken there, msemen and orange juice pressed from the courtyard's own fruit in season.

Staff arrange a walking pickup from the nearest taxi drop point for guests arriving with luggage.
