Almanzil Alatiq

Twelve rooms fill a converted riad on Rue El Zanaidi, tucked behind an unmarked door in Rabat's old medina walls. Traditional zellige tilework and a carved cedar staircase lead to a rooftop terrace overlooking the medina's flat rooftops toward the Bou Regreg estuary.

Breakfast is served in the interior courtyard beneath a citrus tree, with mint tea offered on arrival rather than at checkout. No restaurant beyond breakfast, but staff arrange orders from nearby medina stalls.

The Kasbah of the Udayas is an eight-minute walk; Rabat Ville train station is fifteen by foot, useful for day trips to Casablanca or Fez.
