Riad Dar Souika

Carved into the Souika quarter of Rabat's medina, Riad Dar Souika sits down a narrow impasse off Zaouia Benania, its courtyard hidden behind an unmarked wooden door typical of the district. The Kasbah des Oudayas and the Hassan Tower are each roughly a fifteen-minute walk away, making the riad a quiet base for travellers who want the old city on foot rather than a taxi.

Rooms open onto the central patio rather than a corridor, and breakfast is served there under the citrus tree. The souk's spice and textile stalls sit just steps from the entrance, active by mid-morning and quiet again after dark.
