Twelve steps from the lantern-lit alley of Chaparro, Libertrek occupies a compact guesthouse in Cusco's San Blas quarter, one of the oldest intact colonial neighborhoods above the Plaza de Armas.

The address puts guests within a ten-minute walk of Qorikancha, the Inca sun temple whose stonework underlies the Santo Domingo convent. San Blas itself is the artisan district — ceramic workshops and weavers line the uphill lanes immediately outside.

At 3,400 metres, Cusco demands acclimatisation; the guesthouse's elevation within San Blas sits slightly above the main square, making early rest practical. The street is pedestrian-only after dusk, keeping noise low for early risers catching the Machu Picchu train from Poroy station.
