Hotels in Sopot

The most practical bases in Sopot are the Monte Cassino corridor for restaurants and nightlife, the beachfront strip north of the pier for direct Baltic access, and Górny Sopot (Upper Sopot) for quieter, residential-style stays a short walk from the forest. Most visitors stay two to three nights; Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport is roughly 25 km south by taxi or SKM commuter rail.

Monte Cassino (ul. Bohaterów Monte Cassino) is the pedestrian spine of the town — hotels here put guests within a five-minute walk of the 511-metre wooden pier, the longest in Europe, built in its current form in 1928. The beachfront cluster, between the Sofitel Grand and the pier entrance, suits travellers who prioritise sand over price. Górny Sopot, uphill from the railway line, offers lower rates and proximity to Sopot Forest, a 170-hectare protected woodland.

Getting Around

The SKM commuter rail connects Sopot to central Gdańsk in 15 minutes and to Gdynia in 10 minutes, running every few minutes in summer. The town centre is walkable end-to-end in under 20 minutes. Bicycles are available for rent near the pier entrance.
