Hotel Casa Luxemburg

The 15th-century merchant house on Piata Mica, Hotel Casa Luxemburg occupies one of Sibiu's oldest surviving burgher residences, its vaulted stone cellar and painted ceiling beams preserved beneath a carefully updated interior.

Rooms face either the cobbled Small Square — Sibiu's quieter counterpart to the Grand Square two minutes north — or the rear courtyard, which cuts traffic noise considerably. The spiral staircase serving upper floors was retained from the original structure rather than replaced.

Piata Mica places guests directly above the passage of Stairs Street, the medieval gateway linking the upper and lower towns. The Brukenthal National Museum is a four-minute walk; trains to Brasov and Cluj depart from the station twenty minutes on foot.
