Maison Elysée

Inside Sibiu's medieval Lower Town, Maison Elysée occupies a restored burgher house on Strada Barbierilor — one of the narrow lanes threading between the Piața Mică and the Passage of Stairs, a practical base for travellers who want the Saxon old town on foot without the weekend noise of the main square.

The building retains its vaulted cellar and painted ceiling beams; guest rooms above fold modern linens into the original timber framework. The Passage of Stairs, connecting Upper and Lower Town in under two minutes, sits just around the corner.

Sibiu's historic centre is compact enough that the Brukenthal Museum, the Evangelical Cathedral, and the main market square all fall within a ten-minute walk.
