La Petite Ferme

Twelve suites on a working wine farm at the foot of Franschhoek Pass, La Petite Ferme looks out over the valley's vine rows from private terraces that frame the Groot Drakenstein mountains rather than a pool deck or parking lot.

Each suite sits at ground level with a private entrance, hardwood floors, bathtub, and minibar stocked with estate wine. The on-site restaurant draws on the farm's own cellar and serves breakfast in-room on request — a practical advantage given that Franschhoek village is a ten-minute drive down the pass.

Bicycle rental and guided bike tours depart from the property, covering back roads few visitors reach by car. The pass road itself offers hiking access into the mountains directly from the farm gate.
