Eikendal Lodge

Twelve suites occupy the original homestead block of Eikendal wine estate, a working cellar on the R44 corridor between Stellenbosch and Somerset West. Vineyards run to the room windows on three sides; the Helderberg mountain forms the eastern backdrop.

The estate produces its own Chardonnay and Cabernet under the Eikendal label, and lodge guests access the tasting room outside public hours. Breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the barrel cellar yard, with estate-grown produce sourced from the kitchen garden.

Stellenbosch's town centre and the Jonkershoek Valley trailhead both sit under fifteen minutes by car. The R44 connects directly to Cape Town International in roughly forty minutes without highway toll stops.
