Visitors here are mostly travellers using O Milladoiro as a practical base for Santiago — hotel rates run lower than in the historic centre, and the A-9 motorway junction makes access to the airport at Lavacolla (about 15 km northeast) straightforward. Local amenities concentrate along the Rúa do Restollal and the main commercial strip near the town hall. The Galician gastronomy on offer — pulpo á feira, empanada, Albariño wine — matches what you find inside Santiago itself, at notably less tourist markup.
