Past the colonial-era racecourse that marks the edge of Nuwara Eliya's town centre, Hill Stay occupies a quiet position on Ambewela Road with garden-facing terraces and balconies overlooking the surrounding hill country.

The property functions as a self-contained retreat: a full kitchen and washing machine suit longer stays, while the terrace provides a practical outdoor space for mornings in the cool highland air. Nuwara Eliya sits at 1,868 metres, and temperatures rarely climb above 16°C even at midday.

Parking is available on-site — useful given the winding approach roads from Kandy or Ella. The Ambewela dairy farms and strawberry fields lie within a short drive, offering a reason to venture beyond the town's tea-country sightseeing circuit.
