Behind Jiufen's main teahouse lane on Changren Road, Mi Casa Homestay occupies a hillside building with balcony and terrace views across the valley toward the Pacific — the same ridgeline that made this old gold-mining town a filming landmark.

Rooms include private bathrooms, air conditioning, electric blankets for cooler months, and a microwave and refrigerator for self-catering. The old street market and the famous red-lantern teahouses are under ten minutes on foot; the bus back to Ruifang station — and onward to Taipei in thirty minutes — stops near the base of the hill.
