Eight rooms carved into the tuff hillside of Göreme's Gafferli quarter, Miras Hotel puts guests within a ten-minute walk of the Open Air Museum's Byzantine rock churches while keeping the valley's fairy chimneys visible from the terrace without a tour-bus crowd in frame.

The outdoor pool sits at courtyard level between the cave-cut façades; the on-site bar and restaurant serve local Cappadocian dishes under an open sky. Bicycle rental and organised bike tours depart from the property, and the tour desk books the valley's hot-air balloon launches for pre-dawn starts.

Upper floors reach only by stairs — a practical note for heavy luggage — but the tradeoff is original stone ceilings and tile floors that no concrete-build property nearby replicates. Airport shuttle runs to Kayseri and Nevşehir.
