Istanbul: Where Two Continents Meet at the Bosphorus

Istanbul straddles Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus Strait, making it the only city in the world built on two continents. Beyoğlu and Taksim Square suit travellers who prefer rooftop bars along İstiklal Avenue and the contemporary arts scene in Karaköy. The Asian-side neighbourhood of Moda in Kadıköy draws visitors seeking a quieter pace and the Moda fish market.
