Hotels in Antalya

The best bases in Antalya are Kaleiçi (the walled Old City) for Roman-era atmosphere and boutique hotels; Lara Beach for resort-style stays on the Mediterranean; and Konyaaltı for a quieter seafront close to the city centre. Most visitors stay four to six nights. Antalya Airport is 13 km from Kaleiçi, roughly 20 minutes by taxi.

Where to Stay

Kaleiçi preserves Hadrian's Gate (built 130 AD) and a Hellenistic harbour ringed by Ottoman mansions, many converted to boutique hotels. It suits independent travellers seeking walkable restaurants, Roman archaeology, and direct access to the old port. Lara Beach, 12 km east of the centre, hosts large all-inclusive resorts and draws package tourists from across Europe; the beach stretches nearly 7 km. Konyaaltı, west of the centre, offers a pebble shore backed by the Beydağları mountains and a local feel, appealing to families and self-catering visitors. The Güzeloba strip between the airport and Lara suits travellers with very early flights.

Getting Around

Tramway Line T1 links Konyaaltı to Müze (Museum) station through the city centre. Dolmuş minibuses serve Lara Beach. Taxis are metered. Car rental at the airport opens access to Perge (17 km northeast) and the Aspendos Roman theatre (47 km east).
