Gorilla Leisure Lodge

Twenty-four-hour access to gorilla trekking permits is the draw at Gorilla Leisure Lodge, perched at the Rushaga sector gate of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest — one of only four access points into the park and the closest base for Mishaya and Busingye habituated groups.

Rooms face the forest canopy and open onto private balconies with unbroken mountain views. The on-site spa runs full-body massages and body wraps; the restaurant serves themed dinners using produce sourced from surrounding villages, with packed lunches prepared for early trek departures.

The lodge arranges gorilla permits, guides, and the 35-minute drive to trailheads. Kihihi airstrip, the nearest charter landing point, is roughly 90 minutes by road.
