598 Laine Street
About The Jabberwock Bed & Breakfast
Eight rooms inside a 1911 Victorian manor on Laine Street, The Jabberwock sits one block above Cannery Row with partial Monterey Bay views from the upper-floor windows. The inn takes its name from Lewis Carroll's nonsense verse, and the whimsy carries through the decor without tipping into kitsch.
Breakfast is served communally at a fixed hour in the formal dining room; guests arriving before 17:00 find homemade cookies and lemonade waiting on the sideboard. The wraparound porch draws evening guests for the sunset angle over the bay.
Cannery Row's restaurants and the Monterey Bay Aquarium are a short downhill walk. Fisherman's Wharf is reachable on foot in under ten minutes.
