Forty-eight rooms and suites occupy a 1926 Upper East Side landmark at 20 East 76th Street, one block from Central Park and steps from the Met. The Surrey joined the Corinthia group retaining the building's pre-war bones — high ceilings, deep window reveals — while adding bespoke furnishings and marble bathrooms.

The property operates at boutique scale for a five-star address, meaning staffing ratios run notably higher than comparable Midtown towers. A spa and fitness centre sit on the lower floors; the rooftop terrace opens to hotel guests and is rarely crowded given the room count.

The 76th Street block places guests between Madison Avenue's gallery district and Fifth Avenue museum mile, with the Carlyle one street north and Bemelmans Bar a short walk for a nightcap.
