The Lodge at Torrey Pines

Forty-eight rooms and suites occupy a Craftsman-style lodge perched at the edge of Torrey Pines State Reserve, where the 17th green of the Torrey Pines Golf Course — host to the 2021 U.S. Open — sits within a short walk of the front steps.

Rooms draw on Arts and Crafts detailing: river-stone fireplaces, hand-hammered copper fixtures, and deep soaking tubs. The A.R. Valentien restaurant sources from local farms and names its menu after the early California painter whose botanical sketches hang in the dining room.

The cliffside location puts guests 300 metres from Torrey Pines gliderport and a short trail walk above Black's Beach. La Jolla village shops and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography are ten minutes south by car.
