About Historical CARAVANSARAY XVII Century
Anchored within Bukhara's medieval core on Khakikat Street, this restored 17th-century caravanserai once sheltered Silk Road merchants moving goods between Persia and China. The thick mud-brick walls keep rooms cool through summer heat without mechanical assistance — a feature no modern build can replicate.
Courtyards follow the original serai layout: an open central yard ringed by arched iwans, now converted into shaded seating rather than cargo storage. The four-star category reflects full plumbing and air conditioning fitted behind the historic fabric, not a renovation that erased it.
The Kalon Minaret stands roughly 400 metres west; the covered Toki bazaars are a five-minute walk. Bukhara's old city is compact enough that the hotel's central position puts nearly every monument within a twenty-minute circuit on foot.
