Azerai La Residence, Hue

Hidden within the walled French colonial compound on Lê Lợi Street beside the Perfume River, Azerai La Residence occupies the 1930s former residence of the French Résident Supérieur — the original Art Deco facades and terrazzo floors remain intact throughout.

Rooms face either the river or the garden; the infinity pool extends toward the water so swimmers look directly across to Thien Mu Pagoda. The spa draws on traditional Hue royal court rituals rather than generic Vietnamese treatments.

The Imperial Citadel entrance is a ten-minute walk north along the riverbank. Hue's covered Dong Ba market, known for banh khoai and local rice paper, sits five minutes by cyclo from the compound gate.
