Hotels in Yerevan

The most convenient bases in Yerevan are Kentron (the centre), walkable to Republic Square and the Cascade stairway; Arabkir for a quieter residential feel north of the centre; and Nor Nork for budget-friendly options east of the core. Most visitors stay three to five nights. Zvartnots International Airport sits 12 km west of Republic Square, about 20–30 minutes by taxi.

Where to Stay in Each District

Kentron holds the majority of hotels and puts guests within walking distance of the Armenian History Museum, the pink-tuff opera house, and the Vernissage weekend market. Northern Avenue runs through this zone and concentrates cafés, galleries, and mid-range accommodation. Arabkir, roughly 3 km north of Republic Square, suits travellers who prefer tree-lined streets away from the evening crowds on Abovyan Street. Nor Nork, a Soviet-era plateau to the east, offers the lowest room rates in the city.

Getting Around

Yerevan's metro has two lines and covers key stops including Yeritasardakan and Republic Square station. Minibuses (marshrutkas) fill the gaps and cost under 100 AMD per ride. Ride-hailing apps such as GG Taxi are widely used and inexpensive. Walking works well within Kentron — distances between major sights rarely exceed 2 km.
