Ilidža, 12 km west, suits travelers who prefer a park-side base near the Vrelo Bosne spring.

Getting Around

Sarajevo's tram network (Line 1, 2, 3) links Ilidža to Baščaršija in about 35 minutes. Trolleybuses cover Marijin Dvor and the city center. Taxis are metered and inexpensive by Western European standards. The airport has no rail link — taxis take roughly 15 minutes.
