Past the sunflower fields marking the edge of Ezerets village, Zoya ot 1903 occupies a restored early-20th-century house on Ulitsa Dimitar Donchev. The name references the year of the original build, and the owners have preserved the thick stone walls and low-beamed ceilings throughout.

The property sits a short drive from Lake Durankulak, one of Bulgaria's protected Ramsar wetlands and a significant stop for migrating birds each spring and autumn. The Black Sea coast at Durankulak beach lies roughly four kilometres east.
