Four self-catering units perched above the Caribbean lowlands of Puerto Viejo, Monkey View earns its name from the howler and white-faced monkeys that cross the canopy visible from each private balcony or terrace — a detail no booking platform photograph fully conveys.

Each unit runs as a complete apartment: full kitchen with stovetop, oven, microwave, and coffee machine, plus a dining area and sitting room with sofa bed. Extra-long beds suit taller travellers, and single-room air conditioning keeps nights manageable in the humid Caribbean coast climate. Upper floors are stairs-only, so unit selection matters for guests with mobility needs.

Puerto Viejo's main strip — Rasta bars, surf rentals, and the Bribri road junction — sits within cycling distance, while Playa Cocles and Punta Uva beaches lie a short ride south. Free parking is on-site, useful given the town's limited public transport after dark.
