Hotel Squero

Fourteen rooms occupy a converted boat-repair workshop — squero in Venetian dialect — on the harbour edge of Rovinj's old town peninsula, where the Adriatic meets the base of the hill-stacked medieval quarter.

The building retains its industrial timber ceiling and stone floor in the ground-level common areas, while rooms above balance exposed masonry with contemporary fittings. Several rooms face the working harbour directly; the sound of fishing boats replaces an alarm clock at dawn.

Vladimira Nazora 16 places guests two minutes on foot from the coloured houses of the old town and five minutes from the fish market on the waterfront. The hilltop Church of St Euphemia, Rovinj's dominant landmark, is a ten-minute climb from the front door.
